Can this happen here in America?, What are we condoning that He is against?, Would God outstretch His hand against us?
[Is there a significant correlation with this scripture (Isaiah 9:10) and what we see today?]
Prophecy in scripture tells us history in advance… to know exactly what we’ll face before it happens. You can think of it as a time capsule… one placed at our feet in the present, and this time capsule reveals what tomorrow holds. This is not to be confused as something coming from man or mankind, it is coming from God’s word. God’s word was given to man… and those that wrote it were inspired to write it by aid coming from The Holy Spirit- the third part of the trinity [The Father, Son and Holy Spirit… The Paraclete].
If prophecy is come to open our eyes to what will happen… it would cause those who say they believe to sit up and take notice. It should also be understood as something important enough to: be aware of, respond to and to take actions toward supporting its truth and being a part of what many might consider,”The will of God.” The will of God, the God of love, is to know: how we should act, what is expected of us during the days and times ahead and why discernment to recognizing followers of Jesus [our Family members] will be crucial.
Love of our fellow man/woman is important here but what love is can be different things to different people. Is love accepting of someone that is different from you… Yes. Does this love mean we cannot or should not question someone’s statements or writing [to understand the emphasis or motive]… No. Love should be allowed to secure a firm understanding of what it is looking at- when we all face many people who would make claims they believe (one way or another). To truly know it is our Family member speaking is what we should be able to tell- there are clear indicators. As it comes to love and prophecy… first it needs to be known what love is. The scriptures below list the traits of love for all to know…
Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
Galatians 5:22 KJV But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
Beyond the capacity of love is the endurance of love… for it is this that shall be most applicable [our ability to employ and use it] for all believers in the days to come. This is not the time to be overly sensitive (thin skinned)… where we might take offense to any little thing- least of all criticism to something one might say or to measures taken that are not understood. This is the time we need to rely on one another… the time to strengthen relations and relationships. This is the time to ‘put on the full armor of God’ and lean on Him as you have never before… place your trust where it is best to be found- with God. The hardships we will face might even come from some who say they are believers too. Watch for the rise in: grudges, intolerance, arrogance and quick tempers… something love does not do on a regular basis. The day soon comes when all mankind will pass the point -of-no-return (the day of the wrath of the lamb)- except for those that repent and turn from the ways they know to seek the Lord with their whole heart. In the days to come are great trials to be found but the worst will be during ‘the great tribulation,’ days mankind will surely face- with or without love to be known or not.
[There is a divine wrath for flatterers of their own wickedness]
The picture of a once rich and flourishing region, blasted and doomed in consequence of the sins of its inhabitants, is very striking, and calculated to awaken awe in every reflecting mind. Such is, and long has been, the desolate state of Palestine; and, in looking at its ruined cities, its blasted coast, its naked mountains, its sterile and parched soil–all the sad and unmistakable evidences of a land lying under a curse–numbers of travelers from Europe, America, and the Indies (“strangers from a far country,” Deuteronomy 29:22 ) in the present day see that the Lord has executed His threatening. Who can resist the conclusion that it has been inflicted “because the inhabitants had forsaken the covenant of the Lord God of their fathers….and the anger of the Lord was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book”?
Can what happened to Palestine happen to America? If God’s hand is stretched out against what we do allow… and it goes against His will, Yes it can happen here too.
Isaiah 5:25 KJV Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
The time has come to show people how to get along with each other, not get caught in petty disagreements that would be allowed to keep going and growing worse day by day. The days are short and the day of God’s wrath draws closer. This alone should be enough to cause all believers to tremble… realizing we have so little time left- and there are so many to help. This is all to important to let the little things become bigger than they are… love has already paid the debt we could not and we can never give enough of ourselves to pay the cost. Grace is available to all that ask for God’s gift, to accept the love Jesus died to make available to us all- the redemption of our sins and hope for life eternal with Him. Let’s pray for a revival of the Spirit of God in America… you will won’t you? I hope you will. (D.V.)
Your Brother in Christ Jesus,
Russ
P.S. A last thought… have we turned away from God’s desires for His people and all others as well. Please let it not be said so in your house… your home, and let the country do as it will as you continue to pray for it!
