Do you believe because you want to… believe because you need to or is your back against the wall and “brokenness” is realized? God will not use you greatly until He allows you to be broken.
“To your good health” and more
they’d say by chore and way as if
to tell you of growth or wealth.
This is a spiritual war going on,
the dawn of lore a truth… a legend
based on its reality, quite factual,
history from start to finish, word
of God is the sword of His truth…
lost He not one sealed or set apart.
Examples of healing and other miracles have been attributed to: teaching of Jesus, the miracles of Jesus directly, being saved by looking at the raised snake… from a fatal snakebite, the wipe of the brow by a disciple (a believer) and the touching of this cloth… and other instances.
Genesis 4:7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”
[An abstract (below) from this link… on 37 miracles of Jesus.]
Some of Jesus’ most astonishing miracles included raising people from the dead, restoring sight to the blind, casting out demons, healing the sick, and walking on water. All of Christ’s miracles provided dramatic and clear evidence that he is the Son of God, validating his claim to the world.
In validation we can do more than notice what was said and allow the Spirit to raise our understanding of what was said… and the things that were done. Is this not the same God Today, as He was then, and the same care is given to and for His own?
[The abstract below is from here, part of the Matthew Henry Commentary for Duet 33.]
None had such a God as Israel. There is no people like the Israel of God. What is here said of the church of Israel is to be applied to the spiritual church. Never were people so well seated and sheltered. Those who make God their habitation, shall have all the comforts and benefits of a habitation in him, Ps. 91:1 . Never were people so well supported and borne up. How low soever the people of God are at any time brought, everlasting arms are underneath them, to keep the spirit from sinking, from fainting, and their faith from failing. Divine grace is ( 2 Corinthians. 12:9 ) commanded. Thus believers are more than conquerors over their spiritual enemies, through Christ that loved them. Never were people so well secured and protected.
Deuteronomy 33:27 The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemies before you, saying, ‘Destroy them!’
Does “underneath” hold a clue to and for anyone of us- as believers? Are you underneath a condition, physical or spiritual, needing the healing hands of Lord Jesus Himself? I believe all of us fit this description in life a time or two. One must be certain of who Jesus is to us, so I ask you,”Do you know the Son of the living God?
Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
[Below an abstract from here, Matthew Henry Commentary for Mark 11:24.]
And therefore (v. 24), “What things soever ye desire, when ye pray believe that ye shall receive them; nay, believe that ye do receive them, and he that has power to give them, saith, Ye shall have them. I say unto you, Ye shall, v. 24. Verily I say unto you, Ye shall,’’ v. 23. Now this is to be applied, [1.] To that faith of miracles which the apostles and first preachers of the gospel were endued with, which did wonders in things natural, healing the sick, raising the dead, casting out devils; these were, in effect, the removing of mountains. The apostles speak of a faith which would do that, and yet might be found where holy love was not, 1 Co. 13:2 .
Hebrews 2:8 YOU HAVE PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET.” For in subjecting all things to him, He left nothing that is not subject to him. But now we do not yet see all things subjected to him.
2 Timothy 1:10 but now has been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,
Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead,
Whatever one can believe of God or (personally) about God: what is heard or learned, trained or taught, instructed to do or demanded to do; that which causes hurt, harm or injury (today) is not of God. This is what Jesus/God has done for us and how much He loves us. Do you love Him the same?
Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Ruth 2:12 The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.
Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Psalm 36:7 How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.
God is not a God subject to the mercurial rise and fall of emotions like man or to things being unknown and this some how “came as a shock” to God? He is a constant… the Rock of ages. This does not mean God does not have emotions, as God is love, and know you therefore that love is a choice- more so than is the thought of love itself… simply left as a “descriptive term” for a (specific) condition one desires for themselves these days. Some people just do not know love at all!
[Below is an abstract from here, and simply titled,”XXIII” and covering Paul’s Prayers. Is this the God you could pray to? The living God of Israel is He!]
Jehovah, in its literal grammatical signification, puts emphasis upon the absolute, underived, and therefore unlimited, unconditioned, unchangeable, eternal being of God. “I Am That I Am.” But God is what He is, and is because He is. He is the Source, the Motive, the Law, the Sustenance of His own Being; and changeless and eternal He is for ever. In that name is the Rock of Ages. That mighty Name, by its place in the history of Revelation, conveys to us still further thoughts, for it is the Name of the God who entered into covenant with His ancient people, and remains bound by His covenant to bless us. That is to say, He hath not left us in darkness as to the methods and purpose of His dealings with us, or as to the attitude of His heart towards us. He has bound Himself by solemn words, and by deeds as revealing as words. So we can reckon on God.
16 And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.
1 John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.
What is impossible to man is commonplace to God
You must have the faith of the Centurion, the desire to see Jesus from a tree… as did Zacchaeus (if needs be) or the example given us in the young woman that reached out to touch the robe of Jesus– to be healed. Once saved and set free of the bondage of sin and the illnesses suffered by humanity without God, to turn and face the living God of eternity and the knowledge of it is where faith gains in strength- our Joy in the here and now. I can live with either being healed… to work in the vineyard (the fields ripe) or to be called home by the Master Himself.
Healed or home… and healed means we get to go out and seek the harvest that much harder. The Gospel saves people from hell and by Jesus is the “sin debt” paid-in-full.
