Yes, there is a Nation of people that was subjected to
the hardships of slavery, God’s own were once caught
and told when and where to work… how they made it
through was depending on their God of love and light,
His burdens will not be denied… and His own chosen
turned away to desire their way over doing it as sought…
this turned into the desires of another Ruler, Pharaoh,
forced labor… making bricks, to waste away their might,
consequences come from either man’s greed or God’s
need… it will be according to God’s will we have fought
if we are not doing things as He instructed us, who is
man to think they set in stone (with ink) what man ought?
The Nation of Israel, and her people, have been subject to burdens of another’s desire for what she should or should not do at many times in their history. Forgotten is what our purpose or appointed chore becomes, in light of what someone else would have us do or even believe. Are we not all like this, in truth, when we would seek to set about our own desires over the desires God has for us? There are many paralells throughout the word of God, some symbolic or allegorical… and others considered quite literal, as the richness of God’s word is revealed to our minds and hearts.
The children of Israel were given the Ten Commandments, considered to be the Law of God, and something important enough to God to tell them how they should or should not live. This came by way of Moses, after the deliverance provided by God for His people from the bondage and suffering they endured in Egypt. Even when they knew what God had openly declared, having the manifestation of God’s directives in front of them (plainly stated) they still failed to find in their hearts a love for the heart of God themselves. When we seek other gods instead of the living God… distraction and deception of what God hopes to accomplish either through you or for you is blocked- often by our own doing or choosing to listen to what another has said and their false representation of truth… being in opposition to God.
As it is believed, and rightly so, we should break the bread of love often… and the word of the Lord is where nourishment for the soul and spirit come from- so let’s break open the word of God (the bread of life) to what He would have us understand about Himself and the purpose for our own lives that may yet be revealed to you directly.
Exodus 5:19 KJV
19 And the officers of the children of Israel did see that they were in evil case, after it was said, Ye shall not minish ought from your bricks of your daily task.
[Coming from Commentary Critical and Explanatory on the Whole Bible, for the passage of scripture above, is found this view or viewpoint.]
Pharaoh estimated the character and power of this God by the abject and miserable condition of the worshippers and concluded that He held as low a rank among the gods as His people did in the nation. [Is this your view also?]
Exodus 6:5 KJV
5 And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage; and I have remembered my covenant.
Exodus 6:6 KJV
6 Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments:
When we seek God first is when we find we gain by being in alliance with Him, and we will begin to open ourselves up to listen for His direction over anyone else… even over our own. What we ought not believe is any belief devoid of God Himself, any religiosity which will Harden your heart to love of and for your fellow man (humanity itself). This means God’s way ought to be most important to us: knowing He has chosen us before we chose Him… an understanding to His power of omniscience, showing His love is even offered to a critic… His is the power to forgive and change the strongest mind being omnipotent, and able to do as He will to direct followers and use enemies (those against God) for His own purposes… nothing being done is not seen as God is omnipresent.
Psalm 105:6 KJV
6 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen.
Isaiah 43:10 KJV
10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
