‘A Chinese view[two in opposition], a legal view [a contract can be broken] and a covenant made with God [never intended to be broken].’

What is there good about being able to place the claim

on an arrangement (legal or otherwise) without God…

when God should turn away from anything of blessing,

to see it as but a benefit… a contract made from sod

and not grounded in life: making, giving or receiving

from the opposite of man’s own nature, God’s own gift…

without the reason for God’s involvement, there would

be no opinion of value formed by such covenant, rift.

The purpose of marriage is to reflect the relationship of the Godhead and to serve him. Although the fall has marred the divine purpose and function of marriage, this definition reflects the God-ordained ideal for marriage from the beginning.
