If there is but one thing man should know about God it is this,”God is love.” The Bible teaches this truth, God is the embodiment of love… and love is to be seen by those professing to know love- especially to and for those from within the body of Christ. The Bible goes one step further, according to the teaching of Jesus Himself… to love your enemies. Did you know this is a directive from God Himself… and should be the viewpoint of all christians from the start of the New Testament forward- to extend to the very time we live in today!

Luke 6:35 KJV But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

The day is at hand to stand firm in our faith, knowing what is told us by the world is found to be in error, containing the spirit of error, and we are to become more aware to God’s truth in love. There is the spirit of truth and the spirit of error… as told us in the Bible, see below…

John 14:17 KJV Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

2 Thessalonians 2:13 KJV But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

1 John 4:6 KJV We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

The spirit of error is when one refuses to acknowledge Jesus is the Son of God, incarnate, the living God come in the flesh. The scripture below is where ‘true discernment’ should begin to become forefront in our minds, renewed in God’s truth is the one which is chosen.

1 John 4:2-21 (King James Version)

2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. 7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. 12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. 13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. 15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. 17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. 19 We love him, because he first loved us. 20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

What many have failed to understand about being chosen, since God is omniscient… and knows what will happen before it does, God knows who will make the choice, themselves, to follow Him. This does not mean the choice is not ours to make, it still is, but that God knows who will come to believe in His Son. The choice to believe… leaves us to be led to God by reason, the reason is the spirit of God convicting us of God’s truth- seeing what God did for us before we chose to love Him for who He is.

John 3:16 KJV For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The abstract below comes from this link. This also openly declares before our belief in Him… it is God that loved us. God chose to love us! Love is then more than feelings… but the feelings should come after the choice has been made, for man/woman, as it is an outcome of our choice to love and an increase to magnify the love we say we know.

[Jesus Christ came to save us by pardoning us, that we might not die by the sentence of the law. Here is gospel, good news indeed. Here is God’s love in giving his Son for the world. God so loved the world; so really, so richly. Behold and wonder, that the great God should love such a worthless world! Here, also, is the great gospel duty, to believe in Jesus Christ. God having given him to be our Prophet, Priest, and King, we must give up ourselves to be ruled, and taught, and saved by him. And here is the great gospel benefit, that whoever believes in Christ, shall not perish, but shall have everlasting life. God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, and so saving it. It could not be saved, but through him; there is no salvation in any other. From all this is shown the happiness of true believers; he that believeth in Christ is not condemned. Though he has been a great sinner, yet he is not dealt with according to what his sins deserve. How great is the sin of unbelievers! God sent One to save us, that was dearest to himself; and shall he not be dearest to us? How great is the misery of unbelievers! they are condemned already; which speaks a certain condemnation; a present condemnation. The wrath of God now fastens upon them; and their own hearts condemn them. There is also a condemnation grounded on their former guilt; they are open to the law for all their sins; because they are not by faith interested in the gospel pardon. Unbelief is a sin against the remedy. It springs from the enmity of the heart of man to God, from love of sin in some form.]

We must make the personal choice to believe in Jesus, as the Son of God… and being God, God come to save the world from an eternity in hell. Can we not understand just how severe this is, an eternity in hell… being apart from love and God Himself, for Jesus came in the flesh to die as a man (living just like us) and rise as the God He has always been.

John 1:1 KJV In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Jesus had two natures, one for the humanity He assumed to die as the divine Passover lamb… and show us His divine nature- the nature of immortality… the nature of love itself as our God.

John 15:13 KJV Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

John 16:27 KJV For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

Isaiah 32:6 KJV For the vile person will speak villainy, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

James 5:20 KJV Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.

Since it is only God’s love that can save man… it is only man’s belief in God that God is concerned with- that which is found in belief of love itself. Do you love God? I pray you will come to. Merry Christmas, 2014! (D.V.)

Your Brother in Christ Jesus,

Russ

P.S. Please pray for the persecuted church around the world… and learn which bread we need most in our lives, the bread of love (the word of love in the Bible-the flesh we can digest) or not! This is what even some of the disciples of Jesus did not understand when Jesus said, recorded in John 6:51, “I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”

Jeremiah 15:16 KJV Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.

Which bread do your hands knead, life or death?

Which bread do your hands knead, life or death?

Revelation 20:4 KJV And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
