The year, 1947, and also the year before Israel would see the promise of God unfold before their eyes. It was in 1948 Israel became a nation again… as promised by God and prophecy was fulfilled. The promise was Israel would be restored, and this promise would be foretold in scripture itself.
Jeremiah 27:22 KJV They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be until the day that I visit them, saith the LORD; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.
Jeremiah 46:27 KJV But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.
There has never been in human history a land and people restored in this manner or fashion, done by the hands of man… from the guidance of God to fit His will and time schedule. Meanwhile, back to the scrolls found in the Dead Sea.
When the Dead Sea scrolls were found, scoffers of the day said the authenticity of the Bible could not be accurate due to: time elapsed, repeat interpretations and translations made, doubt and any number of so called excuses. Though the scrolls themselves were found in pieces… and there had to be time to piece them together. Once they were… a complete book of Isaiah was found intact. Much to the nay-sayers of the day’s dismay… the information was ninety five percent (95%) accurate… and fully in line with the documents of the time. Imagine that! Then came DNA… and the Dead Sea scrolls were tested– only to come back as being of the same animal skin used throughout ancient times.
Still, to this day, scoffers are unwilling to say this is indeed the word of God. Odd that in the book of Isaiah is the proven confessions of Jesus… and what will happen to Him on His return. His words to the future event spoken as if it had already been known and told after it had happened. There is no other book foretelling our future as this one does or willing to make the same claims this one has.
Isaiah 50:6 KJV I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.
Hebrews 10:38 KJV Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
Still doubt beyond belief… I can only pray God will not harden your heart more than it has… a heart of stone to the truth He has shared with us all. You will consider these words before you make up your mind, won’t you? I pray you will! (D.V.)
