{A note of interest, this is the third in a series and ongoing study of ‘six hundred and sixty six (666),’ and I hope to share this to: strengthen the beliefs of those that say they believe, lay bare the false notions of those preaching comforts [which can be found in this life], open the eyes of all people to the history coming [unfolding in front of our eyes] and give the glory to God for His word which is told us here. (D.V.)}

This all came about due to a paper given me by a coworker, see it below…

Apostasy: the abandonment or renunciation [utter rejection] of one’s faith in a religious or political belief. from Latin apostasia… or from the Greek word apostasis- “defection.”

I find it more than just interesting to learn many will fall by the wayside… I find it a source of deep sadness, something that can and does break the very heart of God Himself to know- to come to the complete rejection of the love Jesus Christ [actually] died for and on humanity’s behalf. The Bible tells us in the end times will come: arrogance and pride, lovers of self and of money, the rise and push of fleshly concerns, perversions and ungodliness, lies to increase [to a frequency unexpected] and persecution of those who do believe.

2 Timothy 3:2-5 KJV For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Can we see these things occurring around us or do we just turn a blind eye to it? If we say we believe and: say nothing, do nothing… we can expect nothing in return- our efforts paid in full by our own choices. This is what led Israel to become captives… and be scattered to the winds as a people. Do you think God will be more merciful to those that now believe in Him? Guess again, and definitely not those who would mislead and deny the power and authority of Jesus Himself.

The church that is emerging into prominence is being influenced by people like Brian McLaren, and his attempts to redefine classic words and question the Bible’s validity must be looked at very carefully. If people like Brian gain influence among the churches of christianity it will be a moral relativism… a pluralistic society, as influenced by the negation of the bible’s tenets and a complete removal of its authority and power as we see it holding today. Here are a few more to add to the list of ambiguous questions and quotations to be brought forward by just this one man, find them here * and see if this does nothing more than add to the confusion to come… to the credibility of the weight of my words and the apparent truth for true discernment being more and more important to us all.

“The Christian faith, I am proposing, should become (in the name of Jesus Christ) a welcome friend to other religions of the world, not a threat”
—Brian McLaren, A Generous Orthodoxy McLaren, p.254

I would like to note here ‘the Gospel of Jesus Christ’ was never meant to be looked at as a threat [this is heresy to think this] but as a the message of Salvation [good tidings] and a source of joy. The Gospel of Jesus Christ [Adonai] is a message to all mankind of hope… and this hope is eternal, come about by doing what God would have us do if we belong to Him.

The wonders and blessings of God are infinite… as diverse as His people, and this is something God will eternally desire for us- for those He calls His own. The blessings of a Holy God are the promises He has said He will keep with us… as long as we honor Him as our God. As far back as the beginning, God gave Adam more than He denied him, as He showed His love is not to be denied Him. All we have ever had to do is: admit what wrongs we have done, ask for God’s forgiveness and conform to the words of the law of God and obey them. Pride has always stood in man’s way… that which would have to be suppressed to allow man to submit to God’s request and then retain the ability and desire to follow through with it- dedication. As described in the last book (the fifth book) of the Torah, the fifth book of the Old Testament in the Bible, God wants us to be obedient to His law. This is not the ‘ten commandments,’ the way of our actions to follow what is placed in Deuteronomy 27: 15-26… the law of God is this ascribed to. The cursed are those that do not follow these directives… these requests of a ‘Holy God.’

Deuteronomy 28: 1-14 speaks of the blessings of God… for His people, and all He calls His own… for doing, simply, that which God would have us all do- to follow His will and be obedient.

Jeremiah 7:1-3 (King James Version) 1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, 2 Stand in the gate of the LORD’S house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD. 3 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place.

Did not God judge Israel and scatter them to the Nations of the Earth… for not obeying His word to them?

Jeremiah 7:34 (King James Version) 34 Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.

Jeremiah 13:9 KJV Thus saith the LORD, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.

Jeremiah 13:17 KJV But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the LORD’S flock is carried away captive.

Hosea 7:10 KJV And the pride of Israel testifieth to his face: and they do not return to the LORD their God, nor seek him for all this.

Ezekiel 7:10 KJV Behold the day, behold, it is come: the morning is gone forth; the rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded.

Now that the Nation of Israel is come again [man’s hands used by God for the idea(s) of this happening], the end of days is coming upon the whole Earth. We are living in the final days of mankind [as mankind knows it to be]… so settled on the ideas we think we know to be our own reality- the truth as we would choose to know it and have it. I think many of us are in for a very real and rude reality check, when the facade of our beliefs we have settled for can and will drop to our feet… trampled in the dust. For those that are secure in their belief of Jesus being the Son of God [foretold us in prophecy (much earlier than the Roman Empire) and realizing the truth of who He is to us] we can and will endure to the end. The end game of man is upon us. This time we will be captives of our own ideas… subject to the wrath God has stored up to use on His return if we remain proud and do not repent of that which God abhors.

Psalm 10:4 KJV The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.

Proverbs 13:10 KJV Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom.

Zephaniah 2:10 KJV This shall they have for their pride, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of the LORD of hosts.

1 John 2:16 KJV For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Psalm 40:4 KJV Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

There has never been a time in human history as the time that is on our very doorstep, for this is not a time to envy the things of man’s past [man’s past without God or the possessions of man’s delight]. This is the final proving ground come for us to decide one way or the other… the other is the way of the world, what the world would have us believe and those of it.

John 15:19 KJV If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

It is due to the hate… for our belief in Jesus Christ we face the same persecution and despise Jesus saw. I can think of no other belief system or structure of religion that openly and plainly tells us this is an expectation for surety of our belief. The world stage is filling up with those that will denounce Jesus Christ as being who He said He was but they cannot negate the resurrection and its witnesses. Hold fast your hope, for this is where our ‘eternal hope’ has come from… for us to know we will not perish as those who know not God as their Savior He is.

1 John 5:20 KJV And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

Psalm 56:11 KJV In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

Isaiah 48:10 KJV Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.

Indeed, what can man do to you that hates you… he can kill the body in the extreme but not the Spirit that resides in you. Man cannot kill either the soul that God has given unto you, nor change your mind to God’s truth… as God would have you to believe, know and experience Him personally. Greater is He [Jesus Christ] than he that is of the world. Here is a little of what hate will have in store for us…

Matthew 24:1-14 (King James Version)

1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Below is found at this link, a writing I did back in May, 2013 [with many links for you to ponder], simply entitled,”Revelation.”

This is also found in the Epistle of Jesus Christ, as told us by John, in Revelation…

Revelation 20:4 KJV And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

I can think of no other religion or culture where beheading is condoned or looked on as an acceptable practice than Islam or the Middle East. In most cultures in the modern world it would be called,”A barbaric act.”

When it comes to Islam and christianity… the differences are as striking as night and day. One says it is alright to lie and the other declares,”Jesus is the truth.” One says accept it or die [in this life] and the other says to believe Jesus is God and die is to live eternally. One requires the blood of those unwilling to convert [even the blood of the saints] and the other proclaims the blood of the Lamb of God [Jesus Christ] was shed for all mankind- the hope of salvation to be found. Both make the claim there is only one God but christianity tells us of the blessed Trinity [and is also denied by those of the Islamic faith]. I will list below the eschatology of both Christianity and Islam… you must make your own choice and come to your own conclusions.

Romans 8:3 KJV For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

Romans 1:4 KJV And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

1 John 4:15 KJV Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

Know the truth of Jesus… to the end, for eternity waits for the faithful. Have you enough faith… pray for your faith to be strengthened. Know ‘the Eternal Hope’ we have by the resurrection of Jesus- the basis of our God revealed to us and His truth of life beyond this life we have today. I pray this will be your security blanket [if you are young in Christ] and the hightower of our defense God was meant to be- our reliance to God and obedient to the end. (D.V.)

1 John 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? 6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness , because the Spirit is truth. 7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. 9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. 10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. 14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: 15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask , we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. 16 If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask , and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it. 17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. 18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. 19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness. 20 And we know that the Son of God is come , and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. 21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.

Your Brother in Christ Jesus [to Him be the glory],

P.S. don’t forget England, October 19th, in London, the Joseph Atwill Conference at Conway Hall, an American Bible Scholar [self professed]. I think he flunks what he claims to have said he studied [missing the relevance of prophecy (well before Rome had gained influence or importance) and the pesky fact of eyewitnesses attributed to “the resurrection” of Jesus Christ… the very cornerstone of our beliefs and convictions]. I would ask you to pray for him… as I will. I’ve also found a note worthy response (dated 10-9-2013) to his beliefs [or lack of them] by a man of conviction, John Oakes. You can see what he wrote in his response to Joseph’s claims here.

P.S.S. This just in, October 21st, found in my email and worth noting the third footnote [where found among inscriptions was one to “God Jesus Christ,” by a centurion named Gaianus]. Here is the link to this free web exclusive report, entitled,”Excavations at the Camp of the Roman Sixth Ferrata Legion in Israel,” by the BAS [Biblical Archaeology Society].
