Winston Churchill once said,”There is no one worse to deceive than yourself.” I would have to agree with his comment…when it applies to what one can decide is true or not. Belief should be based on substantiated facts or supporting evidence one can be exposed to. As it comes to what people will attempt to have you believe or offer as truth [even notable people] you must not simply react or jump to the conclusion the information is accurate. To assume someone is incapable of deception or would not try [intentionally] to deceive you is an opinion which may not be as truthful as one might imagine. This is the time when deception to the truth [especially God’s truth] will be more common place than not… for not everyone that speaks of truth will tell you the truth of God- as God has spoken it Himself. Worse than deceiving yourself is to believe what one might tell you [represented as truth] when it goes counter to the word of God. If something said does not fit in alignment with what God’s word says… it probably was in error or worse- an intentional attempt to deceive you.
With belief in the news on a daily basis, many are the variations of and to belief… as it comes to the children of men. There is a push to proclaim all beliefs are of equal value, and to the need to peaceably coexist. The push is coming from world bodies and groups headed by them. One of these groups is the “Tony Blair’s Faith Foundation,’ speaking for what ‘the world needs’, found here… a group supported [or backed] by the U.N. and these beliefs being forced on us. I say forced on us because it is not a willingness to comply they desire but a compulsion to go along with the philosophy [all presented as if it is for peaceful efforts to improve the quality of our lives]- a spiritual warm fuzzy moment sustained. If this is nothing more than an effort to provide everyone with that which they desire [and that is all it is… a pampered moment] it will lack in the welling up of completeness being felt over a superficial man-made antidote for all to feel good in what they think or do. Since it was Jesus who said,”You will be hated for my name’s sake and you will be persecuted for your belief in me,” we should be prepared.
If there is animosity that will turn to bare naked hatred for your belief, how can those who persecute you feel peace derived from their actions? Does this not speak more to your willingness to believe it will be alright… or more of a shaking of the faith you know to be right [if you say you believe Jesus is God- as scripture says He is]? Those who will seek to persecute us [as believers in Christ Jesus] will do so not against us but Him we believe in- please know the truth of this. Even though we will be the subjects of their scorn it will be an attempt to wipe out, and do away with, anything to do with Jesus Himself. I believe the hardest thing to do in this life is to love those that will hate you… but this is what we are told to do by Jesus Himself.
Even nailed to the cross [where Jesus died for the sins of mankind] Jesus was heard to say,”Forgive them Father for they know not what they do.” This is the same pattern true believers will be forced [by their own willingness to believe in Jesus and by their own choosing] to follow… the same admonition Jesus would have for us applies here- in light of world opinion for our belief. Where we are to draw our strength from is Jesus Himself [in the coming moments of our weakness] and the sure knowledge of an eternity in the Kingdom to come. Paul said,”To live is Christ, to die is gain.” This is to know it will not be in vain… when we must still show love to those that hate us so- for what and who we believe in. To know persecution comes and draws ever closer as the fruit ripens- the day of God’s wrath for those that would hurt and harm God’s chosen- the church and His people.
Extremism by any religion, faith or body of believers [meaning actions taken that do not include love as the basis for it/clearly seen] can be as harmful as: deceivers of a faith, deception to the masses and ignorant to what the Bible tells us and would have us [actually] to do- from obedience to the word of God. These are the days we have been told would be coming, the last days began when Israel became a Nation again.
It is my hope you will pray first before reading the scriptures provided.
Isaiah 9:2 KJV The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.
Isaiah 30:21 KJV And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.
Isaiah 1:4 KJV Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.
Isaiah 31:5 KJV As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it. 6 Turn ye unto him from whom the children of Israel have deeply revolted.
Psalm 3:2 KJV Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
Isaiah 8:10 KJV Take counsel together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us. 11 For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying, 12 Say ye not, A confederacy, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid. 13 Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.
Isaiah 30:5 KJV They were all ashamed of a people that could not profit them, nor be an help nor profit, but a shame, and also a reproach. 6 The burden of the beasts of the south: into the land of trouble and anguish, from whence come the young and old lion, the viper and fiery flying serpent, they will carry their riches upon the shoulders of young asses, and their treasures upon the bunches of camels, to a people that shall not profit them. 7 For the Egyptians shall help in vain, and to no purpose: therefore have I cried concerning this, Their strength is to sit still.
Isaiah 40:31 KJV But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 42:16 KJV And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
This comes by way of information and the scribes of truth, the truth of God Himself. Please look ‘here’ for the link. If not for the scribes following the will placed on them… these documents would be long gone- but they live today intact. Just to learn of what a scribe must know to be one was a marvelous and terrible story on its own.
When and where it comes to light… even of a mind… the word of God is like a light to our feet, and He shall guide us as we need to be- as He needs us to learn or to serve, or to our own tribulations we have found. Know them as but tests He places upon us… to see what we have learned or not at all done with us. Let His light shine brightest… and be not deceived! (D.V.)
