This was first posted In Mustard Seeds and Lilies [March 23rd, 2012], and I have altered it some- with a current time addition or two.

I don’t think many people have caught on to the promise contained within the LORD’S PRAYER for us… for those that are His own. First, let me share the LORD’S PRAYER with you… and see if you can find the promise it implies.

Matt 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come . Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Way to many people say this but few fully understand the implications found in it. Yes… Our Father is in heaven, and yes… His very name is Holy. Yes… His will is to be done (here and there), and it is Him we get our real nourishment from. Yes… from His great forgiveness of our debts is the basis for our own forgiveness of others. Yes… we need Him to follow, to lead us away from the temptations of this world- just as He was tempted, we will be also. Yes… true deliverance is found in Jesus Christ, for it comes by our belief in Him and the grace God gives us, nothing we can ever do will amount to anything so worthy to gain the gift He gave to us. Yes… His Kingdom is where He will show His power and His glory forever. All of these things are not implied… they are stated quite clearly and directly.

Take a closer look at Matt 6:10… this is where the promise of our hope to come rests… in plain sight, for all to read it but not get but a glimpse of what is to come (the promise of God Himself). When you have read the portion of it that says,“… in heaven… ,” does it not say in Earth right before it? Take a second and think about what this truly means… not on Earth but in Earth, and right before that it says,“Thy Kingdom come.” This is referring to a future time when the Kingdom of God (heaven) will be on Earth, and there will exist no separation between us and God… right here on Earth. Heaven… heaven will be called the new Earth, and God will dwell here with us.

This is one promise I desire to live to see but you will not get to unless you make the belief in God, His Son Jesus as our personal Savior, real within your own heart… to affect the rest of your days. My prayer is you will learn to seek Him with your whole heart. In James 4:8 it says this,” Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.” There is therefore no excuse but to satisfy the will of God, should you believe in Him, than to desire to want to be closer than you already are. I firmly believe God created the immensity of the whole universe to confuse men that are nothing more than intelligence oriented, as this one here, Stephan Hawking [proclaiming no need for God and joking about Him, and those that would and do believe]. They would point to the stars and say there is more than meets the eye here. I say there is more than meets the eye… but in order to fully understand it we need to understand God is capable of such creation as this.

To learn more of what is to come, let’s read Rev 21.

As always, I would request that you pray first… prior to reading the scripture provided, that you might be granted a deeper understanding of God’s word and find the truth of God within your heart when it is over.

Scripture… Rev 21

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away ; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying , Behold , the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away . 5 And he that sat upon the throne said , Behold , I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write : for these words are true and faithful. 6 And he said unto me, It is done . I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable , and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. 9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying , Come hither , I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife. 10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal ; 12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon , which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. 14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. 16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed , twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. 17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is , of the angel. 18 And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. 19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; 20 The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst. 21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. 22 And I saw no temple therein : for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. 23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. 24 And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. 25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. 26 And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. 27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth , neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

According to these dimensions, and you can learn just how vast this City/State/Kingdom will be. I can only hope the word of God is being literal here… for to wrap our brains around numbers such as these are to add to: conjecture, interpretation and unbelief but I do believe this not just to be figurative- I take this to be a literal telling of Jesus to John. Is this not the Epistle of Jesus… as told by John, a book we call Revelation? God does not lie! If revelation is understood at all by man, may it be found in this one description [meaning]; a surprising and previously unknown fact, esp. one that is made known in a dramatic way. I can think of many things that point to God being just that… dramatic. Look up at the night sky and see His handiwork… dramatic. Think how many people would fit in the cube as these dimensions sink in here… and know that even if you were to take six (6) billion people, with all the floors this will have, they would be living in a one hundred (100) mile square space for themselves. Are you ready for this? (D.V.)

Your Brother in Christ Jesus,

Russ

P.S. I will include with my future writings this post script (D. V.). It stands for “Deo volente,” and in Latin it translates to,“God willing.”
