We have all been born into the sinful state since the fall of mankind… born into the condition of our transgressions- being an innate quality of our lives. It is true that misery loves company, and those that would sin more would have you with them [should they so choose] to lead you to the conclusion it is alright to be or do it just like them. Sin has two sides [or two faces] to it, the first is the tempting side that might appeal to the senses but comes with the bulk of it the weight of wickedness; of that which is punishable or the fine we must pay for having done that which we have done- it comes with consequence to our own actions. This is not mentioned by the one that would lead you astray… so much easier to blackmail you into doing what they would have you to think, do or say… a sin of omission for an unrighteous cause.
There is a rock formation in the area I live that exemplifies what sin looks like [and might be offensive to some… here I will risk it to show you the truth of sin’s nature]. First is the shiny side of sin… that which might appeal to your senses, especially when there are so many doing the same thing- it is alright to do would be the common or average assumption… even to bear the appearance that it is fine for you to do.
but on the backside is where the harm comes from, and this is where the weight of wrongness falls upon you directly, for there is a penalty to do as sin would direct you to do.
I hope you will let this idea sink in… don’t be fooled [tricked] into thinking to sin is OK with God Himself.
