There seems to be many people today that are under the opinion the Bible is nothing more than an outdated nonessential book of writings. Why is this? I can think of many reasons (excuses) but the most prevalent ones which come to mind are these,”They do not have the heart to self examine themselves [compared to it and the changes in lifestyle that might come with it] or they think there is nothing there that can make a difference in their lives today.” What people fail to fully comprehend [either by design of their own motives or desires] is the word of God contains the same breath of life given to Adam… it is where we can see the heart of humanity changed by the impact and living influence it contains. If this is at the heart of the issue… the heart of each and every one of us, it is believed where the problems of mankind are also found. The heart is what can be affected by the piercing truths contained within the Bible.

The Bible is the word of God given to man, by direction of the Spirit, which contains great spiritual truths. It is these truths that can and will cause affect to be: felt, realized, learned, taught and allow a changing of who we are and how we see ourselves- and how we see God. It has been said within the Bible ( Psalm 90:12 KJV , Proverbs 2:2 KJV ) there is a difference between being intelligent or smart and wisdom. Wisdom comes from reading the word of God, by understanding the precepts of what is shown to those willing to seek these truths- shared to all humanity. Wisdom will change our hearts and bring us into alignment with obedience to God. Obedience to God is found to be our willingness to seek God with our whole heart… to want to learn more about Him- this is where wisdom begins.

It is the heart of man that can harden, losing the capacity to show compassion for our fellow human beings- even to care or love one’s own self. The actions one takes or their approach to this life can be oriented to the self [where selfishness will drive and motivate our treatment of others]; which is a very weak and poor example we can show our kids, family and others we come into contact with by living. This type of life is self depleting… hardly one to exemplify or find gainful to glory in. Painful comes the day if this lesson is taught to our children… a day where selfishness is thrust upon us- feeling the effects of their selfishness now imposed on us. Is this what we truly desire to find so abundantly true? It is our own hearts that need changing before this happens and, therefore, rendering the truth the Bible contains evermore relevant to our day and age- the day we live in… here and now.

Please pray before reading the scriptures provided, and may the understanding of our LORD and Savior be glorified, Jesus Himself.

Here I offer you a current touch upon this very real and historic event… as seen today in a DVD on this, called,“The Exodus Revealed,” and more to ponder on. I pray the truth of this be revealed to your heart.

__________

1 Samuel 12:24 KJV Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.

2 Samuel 24:10 KJV And David’s heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.

1 Kings 2:44 KJV The king said moreover to Shimei, Thou knowest all the wickedness which thine heart is privy to, that thou didst to David my father: therefore the LORD shall return thy wickedness upon thine own head;

2 Chronicles 9:23 KJV And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom, that God had put in his heart.

2 Chronicles 15:12 KJV And they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul;

Jeremiah 5:14 (King James Version)           Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them.

Jeremiah 23:29 (King James Version)

Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Hebrews 4:12 (King James Version)

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

1 Peter 1:23 (King James Version)                                      Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Ecclesiastes 9:10 KJV Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

Ecclesiastes 9:13 KJV This wisdom have I seen also under the sun, and it seemed great unto me:

Revelation 3:20 KJV Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Seeing the importance God holds… to fear His displeasure more than we would fear man himself is when wisdom is comprehended. To speak out when there is something morally wrong with actions mankind is taking or to address the wrongness of legality over the directives God has instructed us to follow first- should conflict become apparent then God comes first. This is when we will stand up against injustice or inequality… willing to oppose those who are acting as if God is immaterial. To stand and say nothing is to have no belief at all- none worth saving. This is where the heart comes in… and is the focus [not to be confused with simply a drive or desire] of where true and lasting change begins. A hardened heart is a dying heart with no hope to continue growing in love or with the cares of love to live at all. Will you let God in your heart today? I pray you will! (D.V.)

Your Brother in Christ Jesus,

Russ

P.S. I plan further Bible Studies on: the intolerance of the day, side-by-side [prophecy and headlines], reaching historical truths [focus and emphasis on literature and Archaeology] and would encourage open dialogue… for how can we learn if we have no questions? I can only share this as my heart has been given to write… leaving you [the reader] in the hands of ‘The Spirit.’
