It is getting to be more painfully apparent of the need for us to see (historically) the reasons our faith (the christian faith) stands strongly in the face of the world as a whole. I’m not suggesting we draw away from the Bible (the word of God) but would have you see what things have been created from the beliefs told us in the Bible… throughout human history. It is the prevailing thought here that God alone (the Father, Jesus and the holy Spirit) is to be the emphasis of the reason we share what we will here. If you have a different faith than ours… you are welcome to open discussion so we might: share the reasons we believe differently than you, state why you feel as you do or tell us of the bad experience you had to make you feel the way you do now. Please do not think you will be accepted for your beliefs but you will be accepted as a fellow human being with beliefs that are counter to what we might understand (if your belief is not of one holding to the words and thoughts contained in the Bible). The following is a couple abstracts from
[The history of Christian doctrine thus conceived and composed is one of the strongest of all defences of the Christian faith. It is a common remark, that a powerful statement is a powerful argument. This is true of the dogmas of Christianity.]
and this one…
[Christianity is, ultimately, its own best defence. The argument of a holy and beautiful life, it is universally conceded, is unanswerable; and so is the argument of a profound and homogeneous system. If you do not wish to view the lengthly pages listed above… suffice it to say condensed reasons can be further found in Liturgies, such as or any of the others so found… I do hope if you are a believer (and you find time) you’ll look into a few of the things here, and if you are not… you might like to look into some of these as a chance to gain an insight into why a christian believes as he/she does.
