As we draw nearer to the day we know as Easter, and I would call it more “the greatest Passover gift to man, from God, the world has ever seen.” There are many religions in this world and they each claim to be the one, yet all but one speaks of either man doing or believing a certain way… to be able to achieve: peace, harmony and happiness. The way of these religions is to strive to get closer to god by these beliefs or by these actions. This is where christianity separates from them all… for we believe God came down to Earth, took upon Himself the flesh of man (in the person of Jesus Christ) and died for all mankind. Here, with christianity, God far exceeds the reaching for man… but comes down from heaven to be with man… live as man (to know man’s troubles personally) and die for all of humanity. I feel from the word of God the truth of this claim, and to have God claim the truth of this is where the Bible vindicates and validates this truth, for the fulfillment of prophecy is this claim made by God and strived for. It would just be a claim, like in any other religion, but it far exceeds the claim to realize prophecy is followed through by God Himself. I know of no other religion that can stand this test… this trial of having foreknowledge claimed and then completed… to the amazement of those eyewitnesses in history, those whom have written of their own personal accounts.

To understand what happened on Passover is to know more of the story here. Passover had to do with the LORD GOD recognizing those that were Jews, the ones that marked their doorways with blood as such a sign of offering, so the He would literally Passover the household so marked and proceed to the next one. I will list in the scriptures the events of Passover to allow you to explore the word of God on your own. The significance to what Jesus did on the cross for all mankind is the same, He shed His blood for you… for me, and for all mankind. Unless you are a person that believes in Him, and by your belief of Him coming in the flesh to die for your sins (your transgressions)… you will not be covered by His blood and the sacrifice He has made for you. The Passover event was only a foreshadow of the event of Jesus laying down His life for us… for us (personally) to be covered by the blood of His humanity, and to believe in His resurrection and His ascension. By His resurrection we know Him to be God… and then to have eyewitness accounts of His ascension bring us to the truth of who He really is… God Himself.

As always, I would request that you pray first… prior to reading the scripture provided, that you might be granted a deeper understanding of God’s word and find the truth of God within your heart when it is over.

Scripture: Exodus 12:12-13

12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD. 13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

The meat of the word… the flesh of truth. To digest the word we need to read it, to learn it and do it.

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 6:33 For the bread of God is He which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

John 6:51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified .

John 6:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on Him whom He hath sent.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Romans 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Ephesians 5:30 For we are members of his body, of His flesh, and of His bones.

Jeremiah 32: 27 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

1 John 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come ; and even now already is it in the world.

You can read all of Exodus 12 here, or listen to it here.

I firmly believe that which has been placed in the book called “the Bible” has been by revelation through the Holy Spirit, through man (as fallible as we might be) and should be read by even those that do not share our faith of it being true. It is to this I would place surety of the chance to find the same conviction I now have, in Jesus being God Himself… the lamb who takes away the sins of the world. God had to sacrifice Himself for us… to prepare the way for our salvation today and the deliverance, just as He delivered His people from Egypt then, for which He will deliver us from “the great Tribulation to come.” Prepare for this event, the purification of your own soul… to seek righteousness, make yourself right with God that you too might be saved. I share this word of God… for God’s glory, I seek Him… and offer you the chance (while you still have it) to find the peace of mind, heart and soul… you too will be saved. (D.V.)

Your Brother in Christ Jesus,

P.S. I will include with my future writings this post script (D. V.). It stands for “Deo volente,” and in Latin it translates to,“God willing.”
