Shallow breath turns life past response…

clinging to what is left before repose,

resplendent are the gates eternal calling…

the boundaries bridged we do suppose,

relief of Earthen cares to wane are falling…

the portals sight ahead and steady hymn,

angels sing for such calls of glory found…

as mere mortals hear sweet requiem.

This was written the second night I stayed with my Mom… and I knew the time was shortened. My Mother’s breathing was very shallow. God rest her soul… Nov. 7th, 2012.
