We are approaching the dire days… the day has every sign of this truth apparent, a day before the coming days of “the Great Tribulation.” This is the time those that do believe need to strengthen their faith, secure your belief in Jesus Christ and know where you place your trust. This is the time many will come in the name of Jesus… but will they share from the Bible or entertain demons to dance under your feet? With the rise of ‘the emerging church’ there are many that have, even today, attempted to down play the: importance of Jesus, merging religions with one another, ways to improve your health and mental state or many other varied practices gaining world attention and followers. It is growing more important to know what God tells us in the Bible, and most importantly… to trust God first and not those that may claim they are of God- test the spirit(s) of what they are doing. The word of God, the Bible, tells us to test the claims of those that say they come in His name… as 1 John 4 http://www.biblestudytools.com/kjv/1-john/4.html tells us to.
Matthew 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately , saying , Tell us, when shall these things be ? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
There is a growing cadre of people that are preaching heretical doctrines. John Shelby Spong, a retired Episcopal bishop from Newark, New Jersey, is telling people there is no hell, and it is a construct of man… a means of controlling man’s behavior. Look here… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SF6I5VSZVqc and see what he is saying to people (a bishop). How does this square with Matthew 10:28?
“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
There are also others with thoughts to dispel the belief of hell. See two other people and hear their thoughts made plain below…
(in the one above… they finish their message with,”its all good”)
Oprah gets her two cents in… and denies Jesus herself…
George W. Bush denies Jesus in favor of universalism… and says the Bible is probably not true…
Proverbs 30:9 Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.
Matthew 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
I would strongly recommend viewing the third entry by,”BornAgain2,” on the site below. This one has to do with Rick Warren’s “purpose driven practices’ and who he has affiliated with. If you do not align yourself with God and the teachings found in the Bible you can entertain demons.
The information found in the article mentioned comes from Lighthouse Trails Publishing, http://www.lighthousetrails.com/ , with many articles you might be curious about.
There is the viewpoint called,”Open Theism (http://carm.org/what-is-open-theism),” and it attempts to make the claim God doesn’t know the future and man does not have free will.
Another Pastor and ECM (Emerging Church Movement) favorite is Brian McClaren, see below for information on him.
Time to take a good look at Paul Crouch… a better look with our eyes open to all that has been said and done. You can look him up and discover more dirt than a corn field has these days.
Have you ever heard of the blending of religions? When it comes to merging the faiths… thinking this is OK to do, it is a bastardization of both, an impure thing. This is how I view “Chrislam,” a blending of Christian and Muslim beliefs.
I hope you have a sense of spiritual discernment here… a view to see the troubles we all now currently face. This is the time of great confusion… and great deception will be wide spread. I say it is time to come back to and get reacquainted with your first love- Jesus Christ Himself, God almighty.
Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
1 John 4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.
Revelation 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
